Worldwide Bloom Event Updates and Lure Module Timers

News 2

The Worldwide Bloom event was announced yesterday and we have some important updates. It has been confirmed that in addition to standard grass Pokemon increases, we will also be seeing a lot more of Bulbasaur, Chikorita, and their evolved forms. This event is only lasting until May 8th, so if you need these Pokemon, now is the time to get them. They’re quite hard to find out in the wild without an event unless you’re lucky enough to have a nest in your backyard.

In addition to these rare Pokemon running loose all weekend, Niantic has also announced the lure modules will be seeing a pretty significant bump for the event. They will be last a whopping 6 hours at any Pokestop, so if you have any saved up, now would be the time to use them. If you live next to a Pokestop, you can probably just sit inside all day, plug your phone into the wall, and catch grass Pokemon all day long.

Although rumors have been circling around, Celebi will not be available for the event. As legendaries have not yet been implemented, people were thinking that Celebi would be launched for this event. It is not going to happen, so don’t lose any sleep over it. Celebi will most likely be released this summer when the other legendaries are rumored to come out. Since Niantic has now officially announced their plans for community events, we might see some legendaries hit major cities in June or July!
