Some of the older fans of the Pokémon may recall the coolest group to ever bless the animated series: The Squirtle Squad. This rag-tag team of water types was introduced in one of the earliest episodes of the Pokémon anime. They wore stylish sunglasses and taught young kids the lesson about conformity, belonging, and acceptance, all while being the coolest dudes this side of Kanto. Now you’ll be able to have your very own Squirtle Squad member with this month’s Community Day!

This month’s Pokémon is Squirtle. This not only means a plethora of the shelled creature, but it also means a rare Blastoise with Hydro Cannon as an attack. The best part of it, however, is the chance to find a Squirtle wearing a pair of sunglasses.

While Pokémon variations are common for Community Day, this is the first time a Pokémon other than Pikachu will have an actual “costume.” The electric mouse has since seen party hats, Santa hats, and so on. This is a fantastic choice to break from this mold.

The event takes place on July 8, from 2-5 pm ET. Good luck trainers.
