Pokemon Go typically reports most of its news, updates and upcoming content on Twitter, but like most major studios, they should have a presence on virtually every aspect of social media. Instagram is arguably one of the most popular social media apps out there, and Pokemon Go has finally made an official appearance on it. While Twitter is great for publishing updates, reports and news, Instagram excels at sharing pictures in a casual manner. Most people don’t use Instagram to specifically follows the news, but they do tend to follow their favorite actors, shows, companies, and in this case, video games.

Niantic has finally decided to branch out on Instagram, and their first post was aimed at promoting their new upcoming event, “Adventure Week“. This move to another social media website is most likely part of their new event initiative to bring player base levels up. They’ve released 3 events in the last month, and with this recent move to Instagram, it seems that Niantic is really making an effort to get people back outside and catching Pokemon. As summer approaches, I think we can expect more and more Pokemon Go content coming from Niantic. Let me know what you’d like to see from Pokemon Go in the near future.
