We’ve mentioned before how excited we are about all of the new Pokemon and items in Pokemon GO. We also talked about how we were having a hard time finding one of the unique evolution items needed for some of the new evolutions. That ended up being an understatement. It seems maxing out your Pokedex is going to be a lot harder than first thought. And that’s even considering it already required international travel.

According to some stellar research by the PokemonGOHub, the rate is about 1 drop out of ever 1,000 PokeStop items. Since PokeStops don’t give a consistent number of items, that can mean over 300 spins for just one evolution item. And considering that there are five different items, we’ll be searching for the goods well into the future. Sure, this may be neat way to incorporate item trading in the near future. However, we don’t even have Pokemon trading yet, so don’t hold your breath.

We all want to have full Pokedexes, we’re going to have to work for them. I’m not saying I’m not up to the task, though.
