This new addition would come from the relationship between Ash and Pikachu. That’s right, soon, we may be able to have our favorite Pokemon follow us around in the game map!

When a Pokemon is following you, it gives you more candy the more you walk with it. That way, given enough time, that one Dratini you caught could eventually become a Dragonite, even if you don’t catch any others. So don’t trade away your rare Pokemon out of frustration. You’d probably regret it.
