In a move that surprises literally no one, many players are really upset at Niantic’s latest update. Specifically, they have issues with how they’ve completely dropped support for Jailbroken and rooted devices. This decision intended to stop cheating and exploits. However, it also completely barred many people from playing the game at all.

It is unsure whether or not anyone will see any kind of refund at all. First of all, Pokemon GO is entirely free to play. Any purchases in the game is for the microtransactions. I could see a point in demanding a refund for unused coins in the game, but I doubt these players have much of a claim. Their accounts still exist and have every item and Pokemon untouched. But the only way to find out is to wait and see.
