So far, Pokemon GO hasn’t seen any kind of special event. There have been no official gatherings, holidays, or other kinds of celebrations. However, that may be about to change. The internet is abuzz with rumors of a potential Halloween event for Pokemon GO. While nothing official has been released, a lot of the commotion is over a cryptic post on the game’s Facebook page.
The part in question is the hint about trainers encountering more Pokemon. Given, there’s a decent chance that’s just a throwaway line. However, a Halloween event would be a great idea! Ghost Pokemon are already a fairly rare find for most trainers. Even if it was just for Halloween night, having Ghastlies, Haunters, and Gengars freely roam the map at higher spawn rates would be a really fun way to celebrate the holiday. Again, there are serious doubts as to whether Niantic Labs has anything planned at all. It doesn’t hurt to dream, though.
