Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Niantic’s terms for Pokemon Go were pretty clear. Players were told specifically to not use third party apps or other programs to track Pokemon or otherwise cut corners. And now, it seems those terms were more than just empty threats. Reports are coming in that many players have faced bans for using bots or other helpful programs. If you have a history of such shenanigans, you may want to check your email. Niantic may have sent you a little surprise.

What’s the video game equivalent of “horrible bed side manner?”

Luckily, there is a nice little form to fill out if you want to appeal it. Assuming that it doesn’t go straight into Niantic’s Recycle Bin, you may have a chance to plead your case. But I have a feeling that, “how else could I have caught a Mr. Mime?” won’t get you very far.
