Today, I was searching around for news on Pokemon GO. I like to keep you guys up to date on the latest Pokenews whenever I can. Also, it’s my job, so there’s that. Anyway, today, a couple of articles caught my eye. More than one article was titled something along the lines of “You Should Stop Playing Pokemon GO.” And I, the paragon of wit that I am, thought, “why?”

There’s a reason I haven’t provided any links. After a quick scan, the articles are purely click-bait. The prime argument is that players can never become good enough. There will always be another who is better, spent more time, and paid more money than you have. But if that’s a good reason to quit something you like, then I suppose we shouldn’t do anything. Ever. Don’t learn piano, because there are professionals who will always be better. Like baseball? You shouldn’t play, because the Yankees have a roster of people better than you. If the game is fun, then play it. It’s a fine goal to be the very best, but it’s not what makes Pokemon so popular.
