Raid Level Requirements are Dropping Rapidly

As I said in a previous post, Raids are...

News 1

As I said in a previous post, Raids are now live. They have been for a few days now and Niantic has decided to lower the level requirement. What originally started at a staggering level 35 cap was eventually lowered to level 25 and above. Since then, Niantic has lowered it again and now all players over level 20 can participate in Raids. This might continue to drop, but for now I think 20 is a solid level cap. It gives players a goal to reach for, it doesn’t take that long, and by level 20 you should have Pokemon available to withstand the Raid boss attacks.

In order to participate in a Raid, players must have a Raid Pass. You can get one per day by spinning a gym photo, much like a Pokestop, when you’re close enough to it. If you plan on doing multiple Raids in one day, you will have to buy passes from the shop. You can only hold one in your inventory at a time and can only receive one each day from gym spins.

While I haven’t been able to participate in a Raid yet, I’m definitely going to try to get involved this week at some point. Until then, there isn’t much information available. Keep grinding out those levels and you’ll be able to see it for yourself! Hopefully the payout is worth the effort!
