So, the raid boss feature is now live! Niantic has announced that you can go to the gyms in your area and try to compete to get a raid boss, but it’s only for a very select few players. I’m not even high enough level to use this feature as it stands right now. If you want to do a raid boss, you must be level 35 or above. That’s absolutely insane to me, seeing as how level 35 is 6 million experience since launch.

I mean, I get it. They want to reward the players that play the most, but 35 is a very high starting number. It is believed, however, that as the feature gets more and more use, the level cap will start getting lowered. This is unconfirmed though, so you may have to just grind out until level 35. It’s going to be very hard for those of you players that are not in high population areas.

Unfortunately, you can just take a day trip into the city and try to do raid bosses unless you’ve been playing almost nonstop since the game came out. For those of you that are allowed to use the feature, please feel free to let me know how awesome it is. This has now become my motivation to grind even harder and try to climb some serious heights.
