Pokemon GO’s success is undeniable. It became the fasted game to become top grossing of all time. It should be no surprise to see others attempting to replicate it. This time, it’s Ghostbusters.

Sony Pictures and Ghost Corps has announced a new AR title in development for iOS and Android devices titled Ghostbusters World. In this game, players will battle and capture an expansive list of ghosts and ghouls skin to the style of the 1980’s film series. Expect to see ghosts from the movies, shows, comics, and even some bespoke creatures.

So far little else is known about the game, the 30-second teaser trailer leaves much unsaid. We don’t even know what it looks like.

Either way, Ghostbusters World will release on iOS and Android some time this year. We expect more detail about it during the Game Developers Conference in March. Stay tuned.

Personally, I prefer Pokemon.
