20 Years Later – Team Rocket Finally Beats Ash

Here at PokemonGOOut, we don’t typically stray from Pokemon GO news. However, we feel like we have to make an exception this time. Something entirely unexpected and unique happened in the latest episode of the Pokemon Sun and Moon Anime. Everything started out in typical fashion, of course. Ash stumbles upon Jesse and James from Team Rocket. They still have their sight’s set on capturing Ash’s Pikachu. An intense Pokemon battle takes place. But that’s where things take a peculiar turn. After the dust settles, it’s clear that Ash has fully and completely lost the match. For the first time in 20 years, Team Rocket beats Ash in a fair Pokemon battle.

The most stunning aspect of the fight is that it is entirely fair. There is a two-on-two fight, and Team Rocket has done nothing to skew the odds. There are no tricks. There are no conditions. They simply won the fight. As you can see in the clip above, nobody is more surprised about the outcome than Team Rocket themselves. Meowth is at a loss for words. James starts crying. Jesse has a conflict of sanity as she celebrates the win.

Of course, at the very end, the show pulls things back to the typical formula. Team Rocket doesn’t end up capturing Pikachu after long last. However, they finally beat Ash fair and square. At the very least, the ill-fated duo should have an easy time getting to sleep for the next couple months.
